Recreate Your Honeymoon Romance

As a newlywed, it is important to recreate your honeymoon dreams. This means that you create your honeymoon with that special someone and go to your dream honeymoon destination. Whether it is a beach honeymoon or a city honeymoon, it is important that you and your spouse enjoy yourselves and experience the things that you want to experience.

When my husband and I were discussing where we wanted to go for our honeymoon, our destinations were very different from each other. He wanted a city- based honeymoon, but I wanted a beach-based honeymoon. We found ourselves in a slight predicament. We decided to wait on choosing the destination and instead focus on the budget of our honeymoon. We did not come from extremely wealthy families, and our wedding costs were a little higher than we anticipated. We decided on a budget and from there we began looking for our perfect destination.

After a few weeks of not knowing where to honeymoon a friend of my husband had just returned from a business trip to Hawaii. He said that the location was beautiful and that the water was magnificent, but because he was there for work, he did not have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the island. My husband and I looked at each other, and we knew where we wanted to go.

We knew that we did not have a large budget to work with, so we started looking for all-inclusive deals that were available to us with the help of a trip advisor. The trip advisor told us that because we were going to remain in the states, we did not need passports or any other travel documentation that would be required if traveling outside of our country. This helped us because if we had needed passports, that would be a whole other hassle and time spent acquiring.

We researched the tourist season for the island and found that the best time to visit Hawaii was after mid-April, the spring time. This is the time of year when flights to and from Hawaii to the continental United States drops along with the prices of hotels. We were able to find a great all-inclusive deal to Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. The beautiful resort was overlooking Kohola Lagoon. The upscale suite that we reserved had an ocean view with a balcony. This location is where my husband and I watched the sunset and drank white wine with each other after our excitement-filled days. The weather was always beautiful and we enjoyed our time wherever we went.

Many different activities were available at this hotel. We were able to go shopping and snorkel in the rainbow reef. This was the highlight of my visit just because I love being in the water and exploring the different fish and other sea creatures that live there. My husband’s favorite part of the trip was the golfing that we were able to partake in. I am not one to go out and golf, but I know how much he loves it, and it made me happy to see that he was enjoying himself. As a couple, my husband and I took advantage of the spa and while talking to the locals, we found that we could skydive and fly from island to island cheaply. This is how my husband and I explored the surrounding islands of Hawaii. Another activity that the hotel offered was photography services. This is where my husband and I took some professional photos for all of our family and friends. I feel that it is important to take pictures and share them with other because it marks a time in our life that we will always look back on.

Recreate Your Honeymoon Romance

My husband and I took advantage of the city life as well as the beach life. We were able to compromise and have a honeymoon that fits in our budget. We spent much-needed time with each other, and we enjoyed the time that we had together. Our honeymoon brought us closer as a couple, and it was a great start to our new life together. Now, we have many memories to share with others, and if any of our friends is struggling with their honeymoon plans, we always tell them how much we enjoyed our honeymoon in Hawaii.
