This tour is an all day tour that begins in Les Abineaux, which is one of the last remaining colonial houses on the Central Plateau. The house was built in the late 1800s and contains authentic colonial furnishings with historical photos. Once you explore this home, you will then continue your journey to the tea fields of Bois-Cheri. Here, you will join a tea factory guide to tour the factory. You are even able to explore the Tea Museum and enjoy a nice tea tasting session when visiting. Then the tour will continue to Le St-Aubin, which is a 19th-century plantation house where lunch will be served. Following lunch, you and your spouse can continue with your honeymoon tour to the rum distillery and learn about the island’s most popular export. The final stop on the tour will be the La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes nature park that is located in a luxuriant valley.
Another great activity for you and your spouse to experience is a day out in the water. You can choose to go to Point Jerome, on the southeast coast of the island and indulge in the nature that is offered there. There is a nature reserve called Ile-axe-Aigrettes which is managed by the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation. The islet is protected and home to a variety of plants and rare species of animals such as the day gecko, Aldabra tortoise and the pink pigeon. This adventure can be tour guided and throughout the tour you will visit a variety of locations and experience animals that you may never have seen before in your life.
